Job Description
We are hiring a Full-Time 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join our team at Aldi. The position offers an average of 30-35 hours per week with a starting wage of $23.00 per hour. As a Warehouse Package Handler, you will be responsible for efficiently fulfilling orders from stores, relocating merchandise, preparing shipments, maintaining warehouse cleaning standards, and collaborating with peers and warehouse leadership.
Responsibilities
- Select and receive incoming stock effectively to fulfill store orders.
- Relocate merchandise following product handling guidelines.
- Sort, organize, and load merchandise for shipment and unload incoming shipments.
- Participate in warehouse inventory counts and support process improvements.
- Inspect product quality, safety, and sanitation issues.
- Operate equipment safely and follow warehouse procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Demonstrate conscientiousness, collaboration, positive attitude, resilience, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies, communicate effectively, and work independently or within a team.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds.
- Move merchandise, sit, stand, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, and carry throughout the warehouse.
- Work in varying temperatures and operate powered industrial equipment.
