Job Description
We are currently seeking Warehouse Workers with Forklift Operations experience to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. This is a full-time position with a schedule of 4 day shifts, Monday to Friday, offering a competitive starting salary of $17 per hour. No weekend shifts required!
Primary Objective & Scope of Position
The Warehouse Worker will be responsible for merchandise movement activities, including storing, moving, and distributing products. In addition, this role involves leading by example and providing training to fellow employees.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently move and organize merchandise to optimize space.
- Handle merchandise transfers to and from the show floor for storage, delivery, and customer orders.
- Utilize the point of sale system to manage inventory flow accurately.
- Ensure order accuracy and maintain precise system records.
- Assist in unloading, inspecting, tagging, and receiving incoming shipments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or working towards completion).
- Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware components.
- Valid driver's license and basic computer proficiency required.
- Experience with POS systems is desirable.
