Application Engineer (ServiceNow)

Job Description

We are looking for an Application Engineer (ServiceNow) to join Discover Financial Services, a leading digital banking and payments company. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will build and release reliable software systems at scale, developing and maintaining full stack solutions aligned with business needs. You will play a vital role in our ServiceNow Chapter, where you will collaborate with product teams and innovate to drive technical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and configure solutions within ServiceNow in partnership with the Product Owner.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and define strategic roadmaps for technology/business domains.
• Propose opportunities for process efficiencies and innovation using the ServiceNow Platform.
• Engage in Continuous Professional Education and Discover Technology Academy programs.
• Contribute to solving complex problems and guiding the team on best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Information Technology or related fields.
• Internal applicants must have a technical proficiency rating of competent on the Dreyfus engineering scale.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with various ServiceNow capabilities such as Hardware Asset Management, Software Asset Management, and others.
• ServiceNow certifications and knowledge of React, Redux, and Java application frameworks.
• Experience in building secure web applications with user authentication.
• Understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.

Compensation

Base pay ranges from $86,500.00 to $146,100.00, with additional incentives based on factors like experience, education, and geographical location.
