Job Description

Marion County Health and Human Services Public Health Division is looking for a passionate Bilingual Public Health Worker 3 - Clinical Preventive Services to join our team. This position involves investigating tuberculosis cases both in the field and by phone and providing clinical services to our clients. The ideal candidate should have experience in culturally responsive programs and be able to work with clients of diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with case management functions under the supervision of a health professional.
  • Provide outreach and education on health-related issues to the community.
  • Act as an interpreter for monolingual Marshallese/Chuukese-speaking clients.
  • Participate in TB control programs and conduct TB testing and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with the team on STD investigation and partner services.
  • Support clinical services including blood draws, lab work, and health screenings.
  • Flexibility to provide services outside of normal business hours.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree in related fields with 2 years of experience OR 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Fluent bilingual Marshallese/Chuukese/English skills required.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving history.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and community resources.
  • Strong communication, advocacy, and decision-making skills.
  • Physically able to perform job duties, including operating a motor vehicle and lifting up to 20 lbs.
