Job Description
We are currently seeking Bus Drivers to join the Transdev team in Arlington. As a Bus Driver, you will play a vital role in providing safe and efficient transportation services to the community. Join us in delivering exceptional service and making a difference in people's lives every day!
Responsibilities
- Operate transit buses in a safe and courteous manner within assigned schedules.
- Conduct pre/post trip inspections of vehicles.
- Assist passengers, including those with mobility aids, in boarding and securing on the bus.
- Report incidents, deviations, or mechanical issues promptly to dispatch.
- Ensure fare collection and provide information to passengers as needed.
- Adhere to safety regulations and communicate effectively with passengers.
- Submit accurate reports on accidents and incidents.
- Operate on-board computer systems and fare boxes.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Valid driver's license with a Commercial Learners Permit; CDL with passenger and air brake endorsement preferred.
- At least 3 years of driving experience.
- Good driving record with no more than two moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work assigned shift hours.
