Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor

Job Description

We are looking for a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor to join Cedar House Life Change Center, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality Substance Use Treatment. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in delivering residential program services under the supervision of the Program Director. You will play a vital role in supporting clients through group and individual recovery services, community outreach, and necessary documentation.

Responsibilities

• Carry a caseload, provide group and individual recovery services.
• Participate in community outreach, education, and prevention efforts.
• Update documentation for program and client purposes.
• Collaborate on residential program status with Residential Coordinator.
• Ensure compliance with house rules and regulations, safeguard residents' welfare.
• Pursue continual professional development and certification.
• Attend court sessions with clients as necessary.
• Undertake other assigned duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Completion of drug studies certificate program.
• Certified under CAADE, CCAPP, or CADTP.
• Minimum one year of experience in a residential setting.
• Understanding of alcohol/drug addiction and recovery.
• Resourcefulness, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual proficiency preferred.
