Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Controls Engineer 3 to join the innovative team at Western Integrated Technologies (WIT). As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing advanced electrical control systems for industrial machinery. Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical control panel designs, schematics, and layout drawings using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Interpret mechanical and hydraulic design drawings to fulfill electrical requirements.
  • Create detailed quotes, proposals, and bill of materials in coordination with the sales team.
  • Research supplier products, manage vendor relationships, and ensure quality components for assembly.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, field testing, and installations of control systems.
  • Generate submittals, training instructions, and operation manuals for projects.
  • Review project specifications to ensure compliance with customer needs.
  • Load and test PLC programs such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, or IDEC for machine functionality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Industrial Controls design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and programming PLCs, HMIs, controllers, and VFDs.
  • Strong understanding of UL508A and NFPA 79 standards.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Possess a passion for continuous learning, innovation, and staying current with industry trends.
  • Self-sufficient, adaptable, and capable of working autonomously or within a team environment.
