Job Description
Akumin is seeking a detail-oriented CT Technologist for a PRN opportunity. The CT Technologist will be responsible for ensuring patient safety and performing high-quality CT studies. This role involves effective communication with customers and training new technologists and Patient Coordinators when necessary.
Specific Duties
- Ensure patient safety by pre-screening for contra-indications and utilizing aseptic injection techniques.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists.
- Train new technologists and Patient Coordinators.
- Troubleshoot scanner and peripheral equipment.
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Registered Computed Tomography Technologists by the ARRT or NMTCB.
- State license (if applicable).
- CPR certification.
- Strong customer service skills and multitasking abilities.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.
- COVID-19 vaccination may be required.
