Job Description
First Student is looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join their team in New Castle County Votech. As part of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing school buses to ensure safety and vehicle readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and DOT maintenance inspections.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle components like brakes, suspensions, and drivetrains.
- Accurately complete work orders and provide guidance to other technicians.
- Participate in emergency services when needed.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license; CDL training provided.
- At least 5 years of automotive or diesel maintenance experience.
- Mechanic’s toolset and willingness to obtain ASE certifications.
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical requirements.
