Job Description
Join our team at Southeastern Freight Lines, Inc. as a Diesel Mechanic/Technician C. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of equipment used for transporting and handling freight. You will work on a variety of diesel-powered vehicles including over-the-road and city tractors, city straight trucks, as well as industrial forklifts.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair trucks, tractors, converter gear, and forklifts to ensure operational efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Track completed and pending work to meet service schedules and customer commitments.
- Rebuild or repair equipment systems as necessary.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Minimum 6 months of related experience/training.
- Ability to pass background check, alcohol, and drug tests.
- Preference for prior experience in Diesel Engine Repair, Automotive Diagnostics, or ASE Certification.
Pay & Job Type
Salary Range: $28.80-$35.80 per hour.
Job Type: Full-Time, Third Shift.
