Job Description
We are looking for compassionate individuals to join our team at Sevita as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for Mentor Community Services. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives. As a DSP, you will engage with participants, help them with daily activities, and contribute to their overall well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with personal care tasks and daily living activities.
- Build meaningful relationships and support participants in community engagement.
- Address behavioral challenges with patience and empathy.
- Help individuals achieve their developmental goals in areas such as budgeting and nutrition.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license, access to a vehicle with insurance, and clear background checks.
- Compassionate attitude and commitment to quality care.
- Prior caregiving experience is a plus.
