Director of Accounting

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Director of Accounting to oversee our company's financial operations. As the Director of Accounting at Hercules Poly, Inc., you will be responsible for managing the general ledger, financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance. You will play a key role in providing financial insights for decision-making and ensuring the accuracy of our financial records.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the accounting team, including training, directing work, and resolving issues.
• Establish and maintain financial policies and internal control systems.
• Prepare month-end, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
• Manage regulatory reporting and coordinate financial audits.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and developing key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Continuously assess accounting procedures and improve processes as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• 5-7 years of accounting supervisory/management experience, preferably in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP software, NetSuite (Oracle experience is desirable).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Key competencies: active listening, critical thinking, decision-making, negotiation, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Approximately 10% travel required.
• Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screening.
