Job Description

We are hiring a Director for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program at Loyola University Maryland. This leadership role is responsible for implementing and growing the new BSN program, ensuring it aligns with best-practice standards for nursing education and the university's mission. The Director will lead the recruitment and development of nursing faculty, oversee curriculum development, budget management, student admissions, and maintain program accreditation. Additionally, teaching responsibilities are included as part of this dynamic role.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and grow the BSN program.
  • Hire and develop nursing faculty and staff.
  • Manage curriculum, budget, student admissions, and accreditation requirements.
  • Teach selected curriculum content as needed.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in nursing.
  • Current RN License in Maryland.
  • Minimum 5 years teaching experience in nursing education.
  • Experience in administrative leadership within a nursing education program.
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and understanding of nursing education standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Terminal Degree (PhD, DNP, EdD) or Master's degree in nursing.
  • Ability to create a supportive work/school environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Excellent communication, analytical skills, and understanding of the academic and Jesuit, Catholic traditions.
