Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Doppelmayr USA Inc is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing electrical control system schematics & parts lists, specifying power distributions, electric motors, VFDs, and related components for aerial ropeways. This role requires working collaboratively with customers, authorities, and international colleagues while ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement compliant control circuits.
• Provide support to Customer Service for troubleshooting.
• Establish communication channels with key personnel for efficient design.
• Ensure quality objectives are met.
• Perform electrical project engineering activities.
• Additional tasks as required.

Requirements

• Clear understanding of PLC and relay logic control systems.
• Proficiency in AC and DC power, control circuitry, and electrical diagrams.
• Knowledge of PLC, HMI software and hardware integration.
• Experience with power distribution systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to travel and work at heights in mountainous environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with hydraulic system controls.
• Ability to perform safety analysis of control circuits.
• Familiarity with fiberoptic cabling.
• Leadership and management skills.

Education

• BSEE or alternative engineering discipline.
• EIT Certification preferred.

Experience

• 0-5 years in control systems engineering.

• Flexible schedule and ability to adapt in a high-pressure environment.
• Full-time, in-office position reporting to the team lead.
