Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Electrician Maintenance CNC/PLC to join Caterpillar Inc.'s team in South Milwaukee, WI. As an Electrician at Caterpillar, you will troubleshoot and repair complex machine tools and related equipment, including CNC/PLC controlled machines. The position requires a state license as an Electrician, proven experience in industrial maintenance, and expertise in relay logic systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrically troubleshoot and repair a variety of machine tools and equipment.
- Work with CNC/PLC controlled machines, including Fanuc, Siemens, and Allen Bradley controllers.
- Operate measurement and feedback systems such as Heidenhain and Inductosyn.
Required Qualifications
- State Electrician license or Journeyman Electrician/Electronic Technician.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical repair in an industrial setting.
- Expertise in relay logic machines and CNC/PLC controlled equipment.
- Knowledge of AC/DC drives and basic mechanical skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to read electrical schematics and ladder logic.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing welding machinery and variable frequency drives.
- Demonstrated experience with programmable logic controllers and HVAC equipment.
- Team collaboration skills and willingness to work overtime.
Location
This full-time position is based at Caterpillar's manufacturing facility in South Milwaukee, WI.
Compensation
The hourly rate ranges from $36.83 to $39.17, with a $1.00 shift differential.
