Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Emergency Management Coordinator to lead our efforts in ensuring the safety and preparedness of Clear Creek County, Colorado. As a crucial member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing emergency planning, response, and recovery operations, coordinating with various agencies and stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain emergency operations plans and policies.
  • Coordinate training exercises and drills for staff and external partners.
  • Manage the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and ensure its readiness.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local, state, and federal agencies and organizations.
  • Supervise emergency management program funding and grant administration.
  • Provide leadership during emergency activations and ensure effective communication with key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree or High School Diploma with four years of relevant experience.
  • Certifications in various emergency management courses and programs.
  • Valid Colorado Driver's License and ability to work irregular hours.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and make critical decisions in high-pressure situations.

Compensation

Salary Range: $26.51 - $33.14 per hour
