Energy Development Manager, Grid Analytics

Job Description

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is looking for an Energy Development Manager, Grid Analytics to join the AWS Energy Team. In this role, you will lead transmission planning activities to identify sites for renewable energy projects and power supply opportunities for AWS data centers. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to manage a portfolio of power projects and drive the decarbonization of data center energy use.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain transmission planning and generation interconnection models
• Support business decision making across renewable energy projects
• Identify and mitigate transmission constraints in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders
• Conduct power flow transmission studies to explore alternative decarbonization solutions
• Manage consultants and project-related contractual documents

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience
• Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies in infrastructure
• Experience with infrastructure build scenarios

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in Transmission planning and Generation Interconnection studies
