Job Description
We are looking for an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join our team at Johns Manville Corp, a leading manufacturer of premium-quality insulation, roofing, and other materials. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain plant safety programs.
- Assure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
- Identify and control safety compliance.
- Oversee incident investigations and root cause analyses.
- Evaluate safety strategies for projects impacting the facility or employees.
- Establish continuous improvement in environmental monitoring and data management systems.
- Manage industrial process wastewaters and solid, universal, and hazardous wastes.
- Report HSE metrics and establish the Annual Operating Plan for the HSE team.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and drive process changes to meet standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety in manufacturing.
- Water permit and hazardous waste management experience.
- Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulatory standards.
- Organizational, training, and analytical skills.
- Leadership and influencing skills.
- Ability to work with management, production teams, and regulatory agencies.
