Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Human Resources Representative to join our team at Porter Medical Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various HR functions, including handling employee inquiries, maintaining records, and coordinating HR programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and manage HR phone calls, directing staff as needed.
  • Assist new employees with onboarding tasks such as I-9 verification and badge issuance.
  • Maintain employee files in Workday and handle transactional requests.
  • Develop and implement procedures to streamline workflow.
  • Handle employee inquiries and assist with form submissions.
  • Prepare employment verifications and assist with Traveler onboarding.
  • Respond to employee injury reports and ensure compliance with labor department guidelines.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics, produce reports, and participate in department projects.
  • Oversee special programs like Porter Onsite Orientation and Employee Recognition awards.
  • Maintain intranet sites related to HR programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business.
  • Three years of experience in HR or healthcare operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs; experience with HRIS systems preferred.
  • SHRM-CP designation is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
