Internal Medicine Pharmacist and PGY1 Associate Residency Program Director

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Internal Medicine Pharmacist to join Manatee Memorial Hospital, taking on the role of Pharmacy PGY1 Associate Residency Program Director. In this position, you will oversee the pharmacy postgraduate year 1 program, collaborate with Graduate Medical Education (GME) Residency Programs, and provide crucial services to the Internal Medicine rounding teams. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage training activities, coordinate pharmacy services, and represent pharmacy on various organizational committees.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Pharmacy PGY1 program in alignment with ASHP criteria
• Provide services to the Internal Medicine rounding teams
• Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and GME department for educational initiatives
• Supervise pharmacists in residency positions and evaluate preceptor development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required, PharmD preferred
• PGY1 training or 3 years of acute care experience
• Proficiency in hospital information systems and Microsoft Office
• Current Pharmacist License in the State of Florida
• Teaching certificate and Board Certification preferred
