Job Description: Kentucky Medication Aide at Calumet Trace Senior Living

We are looking for a dedicated Kentucky Medication Aide to join our team at Calumet Trace Senior Living. As a Medication Aide, you will be responsible for safely administering medications and treatments to residents while ensuring accurate documentation and maintaining a clean and organized medication environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments following protocol.
• Document medication administration accurately.
• Notify appropriate staff of resident condition changes.
• Assist with medication records and re-ordering.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of medication storage areas.
• Capable of assisting with various medical equipment.
• Take vital signs and weights accurately.
• Complete incident reports when necessary.
• Adhere to universal precautions for handling blood/body fluids.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Proficiency in working with the elderly.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to the role.
• English proficiency preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Pass a criminal background check.
