Lead Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Cargill is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to join its protein and salt business in Nebraska City, NE. As part of a global team committed to safe, responsible, and sustainable ways to nourish the world, this role offers an opportunity to contribute to the production of high-quality food products. The Lead Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance on production machinery, ensure food safety and quality, and manage cleanliness and housekeeping, among other responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on production machinery using hand tools
• Ensure food safety and quality
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards
• Communicate and troubleshoot equipment issues with minimal supervision
• Utilize inventory parts for equipment repairs and documentation in SAP

Required Qualifications

• Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal & written)
• Physical capabilities: bending, lifting, kneeling, climbing, and operating equipment
• Capacity to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, using appropriate PPE
• Ability to work in elevated areas and operate machinery
• Basic computer skills and ability to use hand tools and forklift

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year previous production or maintenance experience
• Meat processing or food handling experience
