Machine Operator, Forming - 2nd Shift

Job Summary: Performs work associated with the setup and operation of assigned cold heading machine during the 2nd shift from 4 pm to 2:30 am, Monday to Friday, with 10-hour days and 10 hours of overtime a week. Payday every Friday.
Job Duties
- Set up and operate assigned mechanical equipment.
- Check that items produced pass quality control requirements.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of equipment and adjustments.
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications.
- Use required gaging instruments.
- Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately.
- Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.).
- Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education
- Perform work under minimal supervision.
- Handle complex issues and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Possess a comprehensive working knowledge of subject matter.
- 3 to 5 years of experience.
Competencies/ Skills
- Ability to interpret work instructions.
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
- Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate mathematical skills.
- Intermediate use of required gaging instruments and the application of such instruments.
