Job Description
Iowa Premium, a National Beef Company in Tama, Iowa, is seeking a qualified Maintenance Electrician to join our maintenance team. The Maintenance Electrician will troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical components, dismantle and remove electrical cables and wiring, install new equipment, and run electrical conduit. This is a safety-sensitive position and not a remote job.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical components.
- Dismantle and remove electrical cables and wiring.
- Install new equipment.
- Run electrical conduit.
- Understand and comply with all safety and electrical codes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Able to read blueprints.
- Previous electrical experience, preferably in an industrial setting.
- Able to drive a forklift or willing to undertake forklift training.
- Able to work outside in all weather.
- Able to lift up to 75-100 pounds.
- Able to read and write.
- Able to use basic mathematics.
- Able to stand/walk on concrete/stairs for the duration of the shift.
- Able to pass mechanical aptitude test.
- Able to use ladders, lift trucks, various hand tools, and power tools.
- Able to work with a group or unsupervised.
- Ability to work various shifts and 'on-call' as needed.
