Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

Join Northern Manufacturing Co. as a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a dedicated team in optimizing equipment reliability, enhancing maintenance processes, and promoting excellence and safety in our dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize equipment emergencies to minimize plant downtime and maximize productivity.
• Supervise daily maintenance team activities including scheduling, task assignment, and performance management.
• Collaborate with production managers to prioritize maintenance needs and minimize workflow disruptions.
• Manage and oversee all installations, setups, and repairs of production equipment.
• Implement and upkeep a preventative maintenance program for buildings, grounds, machinery, and equipment.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate project work, corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
• Research, recommend, and order necessary supplies and tools, managing spare parts, tools, and supplies inventory.
• Perform regular inspections to identify and proactively address potential issues.
• Negotiate subcontracts and required purchases, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct housekeeping audits and provide training and mentorship to maintenance staff.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in engineering or equivalent technical field; or relevant industry experience.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience, with supervisory experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Strong employee relations, communication, blueprint reading, and technical skills.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment; experience with robotics and automation.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities; forklift license desirable.
