Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team part-time at Joyce University. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various repair and maintenance tasks on campus, demonstrating proficiency in multiple trades and problem-solving abilities. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Location: Draper, UT campus
Responsibilities
- Perform repair and maintenance tasks to preserve campus aesthetics
- Address faulty equipment, appliances, and fixtures
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies promptly
- Identify and resolve potential maintenance issues through regular inspections
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
- Assist with furniture assembly and installation
- Basic troubleshooting of plumbing and electrical systems
- Collaborate with team members and vendors on assigned projects
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance roles
- Proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective time management and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
- Licensure in relevant trades (a plus)
