Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing/Production Maintenance Technician to join our team at Avtec Finishing. As a versatile maintenance technician, you will play a vital role in keeping our manufacturing/production environment operational by handling various mechanical tasks such as carpentry, electrical work, welding, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance. This position requires a mix of preventive maintenance, routine repairs, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of maintenance tasks including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry work.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, including lockout, tag out, and other safety measures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and assembly drawings.
- Work independently or with minimal supervision to complete repairs efficiently.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively.
Requirements
- Trade school training or 2 years of equivalent experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical malfunctions.
- Basic welding skills and familiarity with welding equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
