Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team in a part-time capacity at Joyce University. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to facility repair and campus maintenance. This individual must demonstrate proficiency in multiple trades, possess excellent problem-solving abilities, and effectively work both independently and as part of a team.

This part-time position is situated on our Draper, UT campus and requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual capable of efficiently handling a wide range of maintenance issues.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repair, patching, painting, and finishing tasks to maintain the aesthetic appearance of the campus
  • Repair or replace faulty equipment, appliances, and fixtures
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
  • Regularly inspect facilities to identify and address potential maintenance issues
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
  • Assist with furniture lifting, moving, assembly, and installation
  • Conduct basic cleaning, groundskeeping, and occasional snow removal
  • Utilize basic troubleshooting skills for plumbing and electrical tasks
  • Collaborate with team members and vendors on assigned projects
  • Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capability to lift heavy objects
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
  • Licensing in relevant trades is a plus

Compensation: $22-$25 per hour.
