Material Handler

Job Description

Slumberland Furniture is currently seeking Full-time Material Handlers to join our warehouse team. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for efficiently moving, storing, and distributing merchandise, ensuring accuracy and excellent customer service.

Primary Objective & Scope of Position

This position focuses on merchandise movement, including optimizing space efficiency, handling customer orders, and training other employees.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently move and organize merchandise within the warehouse.
• Handle merchandise for display, storage, delivery, and shipment.
• Use POS system to manage inventory and customer orders.
• Ensure accuracy in handling incoming and outgoing merchandise.
• Provide training and support to colleagues.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, basic math skills, and knowledge of tools and hardware components. A valid driver's license and basic computer knowledge are required. POS knowledge is desirable.
