Merchandise Handler - No Weekends

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Merchandise Handler to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. As a Merchandise Handler, your primary role will involve efficiently managing merchandise movement, ensuring accurate inventory processes, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Conduct merchandise movement operations to optimize space efficiency within the warehouse.
• Handle the transfer of products to and from the show floor, ensuring quality presentation and delivery.
• Utilize the point of sale (POS) system to manage inventory flow and maintain accurate records.
• Lead by example and provide training to other team members on merchandise handling processes.
• Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, and vendors, resolving inventory discrepancies promptly.
• Adhere to safety protocols, maintain equipment, and uphold a safe and organized work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or in the process of obtaining one.
• Basic math skills and knowledge of tools, hardware components, and product assembly.
• Valid driver's license and basic computer proficiency.
• Previous experience with POS systems is a plus.
