Merchandise Handler - Overtime Available

Join our team at Slumberland Furniture as a Merchandise Handler. We are seeking dedicated warehouse workers with forklift operations experience to ensure efficient merchandise movement and exceptional customer service. This is a full-time position with competitive pay starting at $17 per hour.

Primary Objective & Scope of the Position:

The Merchandise Handler role involves storing, moving, and distributing products while providing training and leadership to fellow team members.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently move and organize merchandise within the warehouse.
• Prepare merchandise for display, storage, or delivery.
• Use POS systems to manage inventory and customer orders.
• Ensure accuracy in inventory management and customer orders.
• Conduct incoming and outgoing merchandise inspections and handling.
• Provide training and guidance to other warehouse employees.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating effectively and resolving inventory discrepancies.
• Adhere to safety practices to maintain a secure and organized work environment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math skills and computer knowledge.
• Previous experience with tools, hardware, and product assembly.
• Valid driver's license.
• Desirable: experience with POS systems.
