Job Description
Alpha Transport Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our team. As a Mobile Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles efficiently and ensuring they operate safely and effectively across our markets.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems.
- Perform preventive maintenance on trucks, trailers, and other equipment.
- Conduct major and minor repairs as needed.
- Troubleshoot and repair air and electrical systems.
- Handle minor diesel engine repairs.
- Perform suspension, brake systems, and component repairs.
- Carry out tire maintenance tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Be prepared to travel between markets.
- Complete other related duties as necessary.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Basic computer skills.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a certified diesel mechanic.
- Must own tools and be DOT certified.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years' experience as a certified diesel mechanic.
- Experience with welding.
- CDL Class A driver's license.
