Mobile Mechanic

Job Description

Join Alpha Transport, one of the largest petroleum transporters in the Western United States, as a Mobile Mechanic dedicated to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet. As a knowledgeable Truck and Trailer Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in conducting maintenance and repairs on our equipment across multiple markets.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on trucks, trailers, and equipment.
• Conduct major and minor repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair air and electrical systems.
• Carry out minor diesel engine repairs.
• Handle suspension, brake systems, and component repairs.
• Ensure tire maintenance is up to standard.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Travel between markets as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a certified diesel mechanic.
• Must own tools and be DOT certified.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred:

• Minimum 4 years' experience as a certified diesel mechanic.
• Welding experience.
• CDL Class A driver's license.
