Principal Product Owner

Job Description

We are looking for a Principal Product Owner to join Discover Financial Services, a leading digital banking and payments company. As a key player in our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that product outcomes meet stakeholder and customer needs through rigorous analysis and collaboration. You will prioritize features, drive product documentation, establish KPIs, and work closely with various teams to deliver exceptional products.

Responsibilities

• Manage and escalate risks and customer issues, ensuring product delivery aligns with stakeholder requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define product features and roadmap, leveraging insights and data to drive product decisions.
• Create and maintain product documentation, define KPIs, and establish non-functional requirements.
• Build and prioritize product backlog items in alignment with business objectives, ensuring adherence to compliance and quality standards.
• Partner with technical teams to optimize system components and infrastructure maintenance.
• Create a culture of accountability and empower the product team to make decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Product, Business, Technical, or related roles.
• In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of relevant experience.

Compensation

Base pay ranges from $110,500.00 to $154,900.00 with additional incentives based on experience and other factors.
