Job Description
We are looking for a passionate Principal Release Manager to join our team at Discover Financial Services. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Release Management life cycle by coordinating and overseeing releases across the Agile Release Train. Your duties will include scheduling, managing, and recommending tools and services to deploy releases effectively. Additionally, you will lead release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and Go-Live activities, ensuring successful deployment.
Responsibilities
- Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams.
- Plan release windows and cycles, resolving issues that impact scope, schedule, and quality.
- Conduct release readiness reviews and lead Go-Live activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience in Software Release Management or related field.
- Experience in DevOps/Automation or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong accountability and progression of the release process.
- Implementation and validation plan development.
- Coordination of several application teams within a twice-monthly release schedule.
