Job Description
We are looking for a Product Development Engineer to join Dometic Marine, responsible for developing mechanical and electro-mechanical solutions for the marine market. The ideal candidate will work on sustaining engineering of Limerick design controlled products, adhering to government and industry standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design engineering to create cost-effective and manufacturable solutions.
- Design tools, fixtures, and machines for fabrication and assembly of mechanical products.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for tool development and assembly processes.
- Conduct failure modes analysis and develop prevention methods for production processes.
- Optimize processes, identify bottlenecks, and recommend quality enhancements.
- Prepare change plans, validate effectiveness, and implement improvements in processes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Experience in marine or vehicle controls markets preferred.
- Proficiency in solid modeling software (Creo Parametric), AutoCAD, and geometric dimensioning.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, rapid prototyping, and electro-mechanical sensors.
- Strong project management skills and software proficiency.
