Job Description
We are looking for a Product Owner to join our dedicated product team at Discover Financial Services. In this role, you will be the Product Owner for the Card Posting & Billing (CPB) Platform and Aggregator team, where you will collaborate with both Business and Technology to drive priority initiatives across Discover Card. Your responsibilities will include defining and delivering the product vision and modernization roadmap, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction, setting KPIs and OKRs, managing product backlog, defining functional and non-functional requirements, and building a culture of accountability within the product team.
Responsibilities
- Ensure delivery of products meeting stakeholder and customer needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align product vision, features, and roadmap.
- Establish KPIs and OKRs, create key product documentation, and define MVP and features/user stories.
- Prioritize and maintain product backlog, ensure product quality standards, and optimize system components.
- Empower the product team and manage dependencies across different product teams.
Qualifications
The Basics:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business
- 4+ years’ experience in Product, Business, Technical, or related field
- In lieu of a degree, 6+ years’ experience in Product, Business, Technical, or related field
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Understanding of the agile mindset and experience with scrum delivery framework.
- Experience using agile management tools such as Jira.
- Experience using process management tools such as IBM Blueworks Live.
