Registered Nurse - Float Pool 3

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool 3 team at ThedaCare. As a Float Pool Clinical Nurse, you will provide specialized, evidence-based nursing care across the continuum, contributing to the department's goals while delivering compassionate and safe care. You will collaborate with an interprofessional team to enhance patient outcomes and promote a culture of innovation and growth in nursing practice.

Key Accountabilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess patient needs and develop care plans.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise in the assigned specialty and perform all RN functions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction while maintaining quality care.
• Build positive relationships with team members and contribute to a professional environment.
• Proactively manage risks and handle emergencies effectively.

Qualifications

• BSN degree or commitment to obtain within five years.
• Two years of RN experience in an acute care hospital.
• Experience with Float Pool or Resource teams.
• Current Wisconsin RN or compact nursing licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.

Physical Demands

• Ability to move freely and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Work Environment

• Exposure to sharp objects and hazardous materials.
• Possible contact with aggressive patients.
• Use of computers throughout the workday.
