Job Description

Fountain Valley Regional Hospital is seeking a dedicated RN for the Labor and Delivery department. The successful candidate will interview patients and families, observe and collect data to identify nursing care needs, and develop short- and long-term goals for patients and families. They will perform common nursing procedures, explain treatments and procedures, evaluate the patient's response to care, and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the patient.

Unit Specific

• Performs common nursing procedures in the care of labor and delivery patients.
• Demonstrates knowledge of policy and protocol for the use of magnesium sulfate infusion and ability to deliver care to patients with pregnancy-induced hypertension.
• Demonstrates ability to circulate for surgical cases in L&D operating room and utilize aseptic techniques correctly.
• Demonstrates ability to make basic EFM strip interpretations and intervene.
• Attends current employee update and completes skill requirements for labor and delivery yearly.

Pay Range

$46.74 - $67.31 per hour
