RN Poison Information Specialist (Uncertified)

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated RN Poison Information Specialist (Uncertified) to join our team at Denver Health. In this role, you will provide phone consultation and education to consumers and healthcare professionals regarding human and animal exposures to various substances. You will assess poisoning events, provide recommendations for treatment and prevention, maintain quality documentation, and provide information to the public.

Responsibilities

• Assess poisoning events and provide first aid recommendations.
• Demonstrate competency in providing treatment recommendations to healthcare providers.
• Document cases accurately and maintain quality standards.
• Provide information to the public and complete required surveys.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree required.
• Less than 1 year, six months or more experience in a medical call center or similar setting.
• Active RN license from the Department of Regulatory Agencies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with diverse individuals.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage challenging situations.
