Job Description
We are looking for a talented and driven Senior Associate Application Engineer to join Discover Financial Services, a leading digital banking and payments company. In this role, you will be responsible for programming features and test cases, accelerating your technical knowledge by working with and learning from engineering teammates.
Responsibilities
- Complete features and user stories including test cases and automation
- Learn complex software engineering practices like domain driven design and test driven development
- Contribute to agile ceremonies, system design decisions, and support production systems
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 1+ years experience in Information Technology or Software Engineering
- Technical proficiency rating of advanced beginner required for internal applicants
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Agile methodologies, React Native or ReactJS
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, object-oriented principles, and software testing
