Senior Associate Vulnerability Analyst ( Penetration Tester )

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Senior Associate Vulnerability Analyst (Penetration Tester) to join Discover Financial Services. In this role, you will analyze and assess technologies, specializing in compliance, vulnerabilities, and threats. You will actively manage and escalate risks and customer-impacting issues and contribute to developing new capabilities in cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Perform penetration testing on internal company assets.
• Analyze cyber defense procedures, evaluate compliance, and identify vulnerabilities.
• Develop metrics to ensure data security and measure defense effectiveness.
• Engage in risk remediation assurance and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Maintain knowledge of advanced cybersecurity concepts and provide expertise.
• Report risks, provide intelligence, and lead security discussions at Discover.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Business, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related areas.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Web Application testing and network testing.
• Proficiency with BURP Suite and other Pen testing suites.
• Scripting skills with Bash, PowerShell, and/or Python.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation abilities.
• Industry certifications are desirable.
