Job Description
We are looking for a talented Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. This is a full-time position focused on implementing cryptography at scale and developing open source encryption tools and libraries to help safeguard customer data in the cloud. As part of a team dedicated to providing top-notch security features, you will play a crucial role in enabling customers to securely migrate their workloads to the cloud.
Responsibilities
- Own the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography.
- Operate globally distributed servers and support customers worldwide.
- Build foundational libraries with a focus on C and Rust for enhanced security.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in at least one software programming language.
- Experience in leading design or architecture of new systems.
- Previous mentoring or team leadership roles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Full software development lifecycle expertise.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
