We are looking for a talented Senior Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. If you are passionate about contributing to open source, implementing cryptography at scale, and ensuring the security of millions of customers’ data, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities

• Own the software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography, including defining, designing, testing, and implementing new features.
• Operate globally distributed servers and customers to deliver secure and reliable cryptographic tools and libraries using C and Rust.
• Collaborate with senior leaders, principal engineers, and security specialists to support internal and external customers worldwide.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience in programming with at least one software language and leading system design or architecture.
• Previous experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full software development lifecycle, including coding standards and testing.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
