Job Description
We are looking for a talented Senior Software Development Engineer to join our AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. If you are passionate about practical cryptography and want to work on building secure encryption tools and libraries to protect customer data, this is the role for you. As part of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team, you will help drive the development and implementation of secure software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Own the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography features.
- Operate an AWS business with globally distributed servers and customers.
- Deliver foundational libraries using C and Rust for secure services.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience in programming using at least one software language.
- Knowledge in design patterns, reliability, and scaling of systems.
- Experience in mentoring, tech leadership, or leading engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
