GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under limited supervision, the Senior Special Procedure Tech at Corewell Health provides direct care pre, intra, and post for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures, assisting physicians and delivering quality patient/family-centered care. Responsibilities include monitoring patients during procedures, performing technical support, record-keeping, patient education, and ensuring radiation safety standards compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Monitor patients during invasive procedures and provide technical support.
- Perform hemodynamic/physiologic recordings and calculations.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on equipment and maintain safety standards.
- Participate in On-Call schedule and provide training when required.
- Specialize in various procedures like interventional radiology, cath lab, and EP lab as needed at the facility.
STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:
Education / Training:
- Completion of a radiography program for Interventional Radiology, Cardiovascular Technologist program, or equivalent for Cath Lab/EP Lab.
Work Experience:
- More than 3 years of Interventional experience required.
- Proficiency in clinical skills across different specialties.
Certification, Licensure, Registration:
- BLS certification, RT status, and specialized registrations depending on the department.
Other Qualifications:
- Strong computer and communication skills.
- Ability to respond within designated times for on-site roles.
