Shop Service Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a Shop Service Technician to join our team at Wayne Brothers Companies in Eagleville, TN. As a Shop Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing various equipment and vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Work in a safe manner and comply with all safety requirements.
• Inspect equipment and determine service/repair needs.
• Perform maintenance services and repairs on a range of vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Test components and systems using diagnostic devices.
• Follow manufacturer's guidelines to ensure thorough equipment examination and maintenance.
• Document service records and complete necessary checklists.
• Be available for emergency calls outside regular hours.
• Adhere to all assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED and relevant training/experience in automotive maintenance, small tools, and light/heavy equipment.
• Basic computer skills are essential.
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical reasoning skills.
• A keen attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Valid driver's license and certifications like OSHA, First Aid/CPR, ASE are desirable.

Working Conditions

• Indoor and outdoor work settings with seasonal temperatures.
• Frequent exposure to loud noise and occasional out-of-town travel.
• Physically demanding tasks including lifting, standing, climbing, and manual dexterity.
