Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Departmental procedures and fulfill compliance with life, safety, fire, and hazardous waste requirements, Radiation Safety, and Infection Control requirements.
  • Maintain Licensure and participate in C.E.U’s.
  • Perform Ultrasound procedures, including Portables, E.R., General, and Vascular, and maintain equipment/supplies.
  • Participate in clinical activities, such as assisting with patient flow/care, performing various testing, and assisting the provider.
  • Participate in clerical activities, including registration, scheduling, filing, telephones, preparing charts, faxing, and filling out forms.
  • Participate in Departmental on-call requirements.

Experience Required

Portables, General, Vascular, 1 year experience preferred.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent, certification from an accredited Sonography program preferred.

License/Certification Requirements

ARDMS Certification (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers).

Expected to acquire RVT certification within the timeframe established by the supervisor. Either are required within 12 months of hire date: (Departmental extensions on a case by case basis based on job performance).

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
