Job Description
Slumberland Furniture is currently seeking Warehouse Associates to join our team. This full-time position involves merchandise movement, forklift operations, and ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient inventory management.
Primary Objective & Scope of Position
This role focuses on storing, moving, and distributing products while providing guidance to other team members. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Move and organize merchandise to maximize space efficiency.
- Handle merchandise for storage, delivery, or shipment.
- Utilize the point of sale system for inventory management.
- Inspect, receive, and process incoming merchandise.
- Lead by example and provide training to other team members.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Adhere to safety protocols to prevent damage and maintain a safe facility.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or in progress).
- Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware components.
- Valid driver's license and basic computer proficiency.
- Previous experience with point of sale systems is advantageous.
