Job Description
Slumberland Furniture is seeking Warehouse Associates to join our team. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for efficiently moving, storing, and distributing merchandise, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Primary Objective & Scope of Position:
This position focuses on merchandise movement, space optimization, and training other employees. You will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy and providing exceptional customer service.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities:
- Efficiently move and rearrange merchandise to maximize space.
- Handle incoming and outgoing merchandise ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Utilize POS system for inventory management.
- Provide training to other team members and lead by example.
- Maintain safe working practices following guidelines and safety procedures.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (or working towards one).
- Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware components.
- Valid driver's license and basic computer proficiency.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is desirable.
